Arming the Knight & Clash of Steel

Here we present an important part of the day, which is not part of the tourney.

Come and visit two of our knights as their squires help them into their harness of armour. Find out about how fifteenth century armour worked and how the knight was able to move and fight whilst wearing it. 

After they are in their armour our knights will proceed to the arena and demonstrate some of the weapons that would have been used on the battlefield and not in a tournament. Our knights will use arming swords, hand and a half swords, polaxes and possibly other weapons they may have in camp.

 

All of our combat is unrehearsed and unchoreographed and this show has the added dimension that these knights are using steel.
