The Squires

Each knight is aided by a Squire. These fellowes are crucial to the running of the tournaments. They will arm their knights in their harness of armour, they will attend upon him in the combat arena, they will shoot in the archery contest (at some venues only) and they will join their knight in the Club Melee at the end of the day.

Francis Moore  ((Kieran Farrell)

Like many Squires to wealthy and senior knights of the realm, Squire Francis is indeed a knight in his own right. He is an excellent man to have in your corner. He was sent along to the tourneys to ensure that his Lord's son Sir Robert did what he was supposed to do when he was supposed to do it. Francis is an excellent archer and only a fool would ignore him in a fight.

Kieran is an experienced reenactor and fights as a man at arms whenever he can. He is passionate about Living History and not only enjoys combat, but medieval cooking and heraldry.

Kieran was one of the founding members of the Suffolk Free Company

Broad Pete (Peter Mills)

A stout hearted and stout fellow all round. A good archer and steady hand in combat. An excellent man to have in your corner. At Old Sarum Broad Pete will be squiring for Sir Robert of the South

Pete is a relatively new member in the MSS, but he has been an archer for  a good few years now.  When on the battlefield he is a member of Middleton's Mercenaries.

Dangerous Pete  (Peter Hildreth)

Dangerous is a loyal and dedicated fellow. He is a reliable archer and a brave on the field of battle. He is careful in his preparation and ensures his knight is always correwctly attired. Dangerous will be squiring for Sir Adrian of the West .

Pete is an experienced reenactor. He is not only to be found in the 15th century, but in the Dark Ages and the reign  of the Tudors too. He is a soldier, a dancer and a tailor.

Pete is a member of the Suffolk Free Company

Squire Ian   (Ian Simmons) Although I am thinking of calling him Pete

Ian is a most versatile fellow. He has spent his whole life innvolved in the waging of war. He is an experienced siege engineer, and gunner, he shoots a bow as well as any Englishman and fights with sword and buckler. At Old Sarum Ian will be squirng for Sir Viktor.

Ian is a very versatile reenactor, he is a siege sapper, gunner, archer and Man At Arms. (But not all at once) He is often to be found manning the MSS Trebuchet .

Ian is a Bonivant in the MSS

Innis Longshanks   (Innis Jephcott)

Innis is an excellent archer, and a skillful swordsman. He is the tallest and oldest of the squires; frankly he should be a knight by now! However he is valued and experienced fighting man, his height often gives him an advantage in combat.

Innis has shot a bow for many more years than he has been a reenactor. He enjoys both target and clout shoots and has won many a prize. At Old Sarum Innis will be squire to Sir Edward although his services will be used elsewhere for the rest of the season.

Innis is in the Wingfield houshold
